Our Story

Aliz and Alex met one fateful Memorial Day in 2015.  The sun was shining, and the weather was perfect for a grill out at a friend’s house on Pewaukee Lake.

Aliz was invited to attend a party that was being hosted by the daughter of a friend of a friend. (Shoutout to David Perrigo).  At this party Alex and Aliz’s worlds began to meld into one.  They may not have spoken to each other that day, but Alex’s mind could not get off the beautiful girl in the sunglasses.

The next night Aliz and Alex spent the whole night on the deck speaking about everything from family to how I have never been out of the United States in my 23 years on this earth?!

For the next two weeks Alex and Aliz spent time together every night with our friends, bonding over waking up early and keeping the house clean. ;)   Alex’s charm and incredibly good looks somehow was able to convince Aliz to go on a date with him after a long three weeks of attempts.  Even though the date was accompanied by Alex picking Aliz and her friend up from a nearby park claiming ghosts we right on their tails, Alex’s midwestern values and caring nature lead to a kiss that will never be forgotten.

Aliz was finishing her Degree at University of Madison, and Alex created his own commercial and residential painting company. Aliz would grab a brush and help Alex and is cofounder Steve paint everything from deck boards to green shutters. Alex may not have been able to help on Aliz’s math equations, his patience and always available ear was greatly needed during some of the rigorous test weeks.

Travel became a fast normality for Alex as he had never left the country.  That first summer, Alex was lucky enough to fly to the homeland of Aliz to see her family and the places where her childhood was spent. Regular flight to countries outside the US and states in the US were to follow, only enriching their lives together like peanut butter and jelly. 

Yoga, basketball, travel, backpacking, learning, yachting, and spiritual growth are just a few of the activities that this beautiful and vivacious couple enjoys.

They always say that family, friends, and experiences are what make life the amazingly beautiful and complex place that we live in. 

They love with all their hearts, and they are so thankful to all those who have helped make them into the people they are today.

We are truly all connected and with their union, they are sure to amplify that message to all those who they are lucky enough to meet.
